The project
The brief
A weekly column, a tight deadline and a sensitive subject. The art needed to be warm, a little funny and never mean.
How it was made
Three roughs went over on the first morning. The editor picked the quietest one, and I pushed the black until the room felt crowded.
The result
The column now opens with my art every week, and readers write in to guess the next couple.
