The project
The brief
Rowan & Reed wanted a wallpaper that felt hand-printed but would sit happily in a small rented flat. Two colours, a repeat that hides its seams, and something that still looks good behind a sofa.
How it was made
I cut the leaf shapes as paper stencils first, then redrew them as one continuous vine so the repeat disappears. We printed strike-offs in four colourways and kept mustard and ink.
The result
The range launched with this paper, a matching tea towel and gift wrap. The mustard roll sold out twice in its first season.
