The project
The brief
Brindle & Moss wanted a final spread calm enough to end a bedtime story on, with every character from the book tucked somewhere in it.
How it was made
I drew the town from the hill so the river could lead the eye down and out of the page. The hidden characters went in at the line stage, one per window.
The result
Parents wrote in about finding all twelve characters. The spread is now the book’s back cover too.
