The project
The brief
Marrowgate wanted one image to carry the album: the cover, the tour poster and a tiny enamel pin. It had to be properly unsettling, the kind of face you still see after the lights go out.
How it was made
I drew forty small ghosts in a week and took the three that made the band go quiet to full roughs. We kept the curtain and the hands, and lost everything else.
The result
The ghost became the record’s cover and its tour poster, and it runs as a projection behind the band at every show.
