The project
The brief
The endpapers had to set the mood before the story starts and hint at the journey without giving the ending away.
How it was made
I kept the willow at the front edge so the page feels like a window. The red came from the river boat on the last spread.
The result
The publisher used the endpapers for the book’s launch posters and bookmarks.
